No. You only need a powder if you have a liquid foundation, because the liquid foundation will make your face look oily, so you want to get rid of that oily look by putting powder over it. So for now, only get the powder foundation, and if for some reason its oily on your skin, then go out and buy the powder. Get it?
Hope I helped %26amp; Good luck!

A good compressed compact powder foundation?
i'm looking for a pale foundation that is ';invisible'; - just to cover bad skin, not to add colour. years ago i had a compact powder foundation that was just applied with a sponge in a matter of seconds! this is what i need really. sorry to sound stupid but i only wear mascara and lip gloss!A good compressed compact powder foundation?
spoil yourself and buy an Estee Lauder one - that is the best and will last ages, and looks fabA good compressed compact powder foundation?
Ok first and foremost make sure that you don't soley depend on the most ';expensive'; products, you don't need to go out and buy Este Lauder, Channel, or those Mac products to find the best foundation/powder, I recommend Bare minerals, you can find it at Ulta, or department store, its very light, and made for sensative skin and protects skin very well, make sure there is no oil and read the ingredients, good luck!
if you are wanting something fast but looks good, try bare minerals. it is a powder you brush on and it really covers great. just get a shade the same as your skin is now.
MAXFACTOR....Its really good and well priced... I use Clinique, quite pricey but excellent....
If you like there are many cosmetics out there that can help you. If you like you can e mail me and I will be glad to help with your skin needs

Hi,
I have an idea for you before you buy anything on the market.
Kohl's sells a brand called American Beauty and it is made for sensitive skin and it's also a sister product of Estee Lauder.
You could go to Kohl's and try the products before you buy them.
I usually am careful of what I try on my face because other people use those testers too, but...
I usually go to Kohl's and try on one product at a time...then I shop around the store to see how the product feels on my face.
The reason I use only one product a time per shopping trip, is to get an idea of what looks good on me ...as well as, If my skin can't handle a certain product, then at least I know what product that I used and I can avoid purchasing it.
I hope this helps you.
Try something from benefit cosmetics of Almays new SmartShade makeup it goes on white then blends to match your skin color. Hope this helps. Also there is this stuff called hope in a jar its a good moisturizer that makes you have Make-Up Optional skin.
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and won't irritate your skin. It looks really good on your skin!
I use Physician's Formula Mineralwear. I believe they have one that is called ';translucent';.
You can also try Bare Minerals, which I know isn't a compressed compact powder, but it really does work very well!

Virgin vie do the best powder ever it's not thick and it also takes redness away from spots i think it's call one step base or something like thatcolor cosmetics

Does anyone wear pressed powder (compact) make-up by itself on your face?
Hi. Just wondering if anybody wears pressed powder (compact) make-up by itself on their face. I want to do this as I find that liquid makeup gives me pimples even the oil free ones. I know pressed powder is suppose to just 'seal' your makeup, but if worn on its own can it pass for a decent look?Does anyone wear pressed powder (compact) make-up by itself on your face?
OF COURSE! You want my opinion? I love the look- I think it look great, natural, smooth, and even flawless. I don't use foundation for the same reason as you, but I also think it looks un-natural [but not horrible.] But... I suggest you use CoverGirl. It is allll I will use and I absolutely love it. I've never seen anything look so natural!! ...really. I just apply the powder and sometimes if it looks odd, or I put too much on, I simply just lightly brush my hands across my face. Give Covergirl a shot! I will be shocked if it doesn't work...just find the right color/shade... not to dark, and definitely NOT too light! Good luck! =]Does anyone wear pressed powder (compact) make-up by itself on your face?
no
yes, i do it all the time!!!! i use mac make-up, studio fix. it works wonders!! i also use a bit of concealer on problem areas and put the powder over it and it looks fine!!
Pressed Powder is ok if you have good skin. If its dry the makeup with look cakey. I highly recommend you try a mineral makeup if liquid breaks you out. I had the same problems and I switched to Bare Minerals and it made such a HUGE difference! Its worth the cost! One jar lasts months and the improvement with my skin and what I saved on skin treatment made up for it!
I do. the liquid stuff is too messy for me. I love it. I use Cover Girl.
I prefer it by itself, instead of with everything else you're supposed to put on that just makes you look like a clown/pancake/mask wearer. I wear it on it's own. As long as it's not too much and it's your color, yeah, it looks fine. Everyone I know who wears it wears it alone.
I reccomend tinted moisturizer though. Not only is it SPF, it covers blemishes/imperfections and moisturizes all in one step. You can put a little powder over and maybe a bit of concealer for tough spots and you've got perfect skin. CG Smoothers are the best, as one small bottle can last about two months or more. Hope this helps.
when its too hot to wear both i just wear the powder. i have a multifunction powder by prescriptives. its light and feels great. it looks natural too. and its great for my oily skin.
No! I never wear pressed powder by itself I instead wear Clinique perfectly real makeup teint liqued fondation and it is the only foundation that looks natural and doesn't come off if you are participating in a sport, marching band, etc. its a bit pricey (around $20.00 or so) but it lasts a long time and for a pressed powder that i use after i put on the liqued foundation i use Loreal True Match super-blendable powder which comes with a special applicator that i use for the liqued powder rather than the powder so for the powder i use a large powder brush and with doing this i achieve a natural and deceant look (and this will not give you pimples like most liqued foundations) and also to make sure youre you wash your face everynite before you go to bed to prevent from getting pimples
i think it looks better when u wear liquid underneath. when i just wear powder my face feels a bit itchy. if you dont want to break out but still wear liquid foundation, just wear your makeup as least as posssible. like if your just sitting aroudn the house, take off your makeup. works for me :]

I'm looking for a powder compact with two shades in one... does anybody know of any brands selling this?
A friend of mine got me one from a Japanese brand, but I unfortunately don't remember the name and neither does she. It had a slightly light shade and a somewhat darker shade that could be used for different areas of my face, or could be just blended together to create an in-between shade. It was really amazing, and I'd love to get my hands on it, or one like it again!I'm looking for a powder compact with two shades in one... does anybody know of any brands selling this?
Have you tried Shiseido? They are a Japanese company that you can find in a lot of nicer department stores... I know that they have skin enhancers that are multi shades.I'm looking for a powder compact with two shades in one... does anybody know of any brands selling this?
that sounds really interesting, if she remembers where she bought it go back there and describe it to them, i would look online at different asian beauty sites of take a trip to japan town and search for it there

Compact powder shade for indian skin?
Hi I am an Indian..and I have wheatish skin.
I am looking for a good compact powder for my skin type.
Can anyone please suggest a good brand and which shade will suit my skin tone.
ThanksCompact powder shade for indian skin?
yep iridescent might be the way to go. Also consider the right foundation for your skin type. read my article on Yahoo Shine to help you determine your skin type and skin tone.Compact powder shade for indian skin?
Bobbi Brown Pressed Powder Compact in Warm Natural
Revlon New Complexion Face Powder in Natural Tan
Bourjois Compact Powder in Mel Dore
Why not get a irredescent powder, which has no colour to it yet it sets your makeup perfectly.
I found it difficult to find a matching shade but irredecsent works perfectly!
good luck.
try mineral makeup. it feels so light when you put it on and it works. just go to bare essentials. if you need help choosing a shade ask someone who works there to help you choose. i did and they do trials to see which shade works the best on you until you decide.
