How do you store unopened powder compact makeup for future use so it won't expire?

I have bought several compacts and bottles of makeup that is no longer available in stores and would like to store it for future use.How do you store unopened powder compact makeup for future use so it won't expire?
From a cosmetics website:

Most cosmetics are formulated to have a shelf life of one to three years when stored according to directions. Products that have been exposed to high temperatures or sunlight may not last that long.

鈥?Mascara: 3 months

鈥?Cleanser: 6 months

鈥?Eye shadow: 6 months

鈥?Foundation: 6 months

鈥?Moisturizer: 6 months

鈥?Concealer: 6 to 8 months

鈥?Blush: 6 to 12 months

鈥?Lipstick and gloss: 1 year

鈥?Powder: 1 year

鈥?Toner: 1 year

鈥?Nail polish: 2 years

鈥?Applicator sponges and brushes: toss disposable ones and wash others regularly.

Keep makeup containers tightly closed and store them at room temperature. Toss anything that looks or smells bad.How do you store unopened powder compact makeup for future use so it won't expire?
Put them in the freezer
i didn't know they did expire, i would guess in a cool dry place
As long as they are unopened and not exposed to the air..nothing should happen to them right?
