What is the difference between loose powder and compact powder?

compact powder covers everything and smoothes everything and makes u all pretty. them u dust on loose powder with a fluffy brush/blush brush to set everything in. my faves r:

Loose is very powdery and everywhere, like baby powder. It's used more freely and has less precison than compact powder. It usually has a sifter to it. Compact is in a little metal pan in a plastic case. It's applied with a sponge and is heavier. Unlike loose powder, you can use it during red lights or as touch ups in the bathroom without making a mess.
Loose powder absorbs more oil compared to compact powder. Compact powder is more convenient.

loose powder can be applied more liberously since you use either a poof or a blush brush its much lighter but covers just as well, i love the mineral loose powders. compact powders are heavier
